GCIP Kazakhstan is the only programme in Central Asia dedicated to supporting startups in the field of clean technologies. The programme is part of the global Global Cleantech Innovation Programme (GCIP) and is implemented in more than 15 countries worldwide, including Türkiye, South Africa, Indonesia, Nigeria, and others.
The programme aims to foster innovation in clean technologies that contribute to the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions and the development of sustainable innovation ecosystems for small and medium-sized enterprises, as well as startups.
The GCIP Kazakhstan project is implemented with the support of the Global Environment Facility (GEF) in cooperation with the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO).
The national implementing partner of the project is the International Green Technologies and Investment Projects Center (IGTIPC).
